Izzy Parriss
consultant & writer
Izzy Parriss is a theatre director, producer and funding strategist working across new writing, adaptation and international collaboration. Based in London, she supports artists and organisations to shape ambitious projects and secure public investment to realise them.
Alongside her directing practice, Izzy works as a consultant and bid-writer through Sasolo Arts & Development. She brings a producer’s rigour and a dramaturg’s clarity to every application, helping teams articulate their artistic vision, public value and long-term impact with precision and confidence.
As a director, Izzy has developed and staged work at venues including Arcola Theatre, Theatre Royal Bath and the Edinburgh Fringe. She also works regularly as an Associate Director. Her practice centres emotionally resonant storytelling, design-led thinking and culturally specific narratives, with a growing focus on translating contemporary European literature for UK stages through early international collaboration.
Izzy’s dual perspective as both practising artist and strategic writer enables her to bridge creative ambition with practical delivery. She is particularly passionate about supporting early- and mid-career artists to build sustainable careers, develop strong commissioning trajectories and navigate funding with clarity.
